| Who is eligible for
an ISIC?
It's simple! If you are a full-time student you qualify
for the ISIC.
Being enrolled in full-time studies at an accredited
institution is the only requirement. You can be in high
school or in post-secondary studies, but you must be at
least 12 years old. There is no upper-age limit for the
ISIC, but full-time students of all ages can benefit from
their special status. Keep in mind though that some businesses
and airlines may have their own rules which restrict discounts
to a certain age group.
When you apply for the card, you will have to present
proof that you are currently attending school full-time
at a recognized institution. This could be either your
student ID or a signed letter on official stationary from
your school. Then you will be issued with a card that
will quickly prove you are a student in over 95 countries
around the world. From then on, all you will need to prove
that you are a student anywhere you go is your ISIC!
